Callitris glaucophylla

white_cypress.jpgDescription: Australian White Cypress oil is distilled from the wood of Callitris glaucophylla, which grows prolifically in the central latitudes of Australia, particularly in areas where the natural balance has been disturbed by changes in land management techniques.

Its very distinctive sweet aroma dries down to the woody finish typical of the Callitris species.

Use sparingly in blends requiring an anchoring base note, and in combination with the Melaleuca oils: Tea Tree, Nerolina and Rosalina.

Summary of Uses:

  • Calming, grounding oil in aromatherapy and massage formulations
  • Anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal
  • Recommended concentration in formulations: In "rinse-off" product formulations: <1%. In "leave-on" product formulations: <0.25%
